Kirby Air Riders Update 1.1.1 Adds Online Mode, New Events & Major Fixes

Kirby fans have a lot to celebrate with the arrival of the Kirby Air Riders Version 1.1.1 update, a major patch that dramatically improves the game and adds several brand-new features. These update is now available for anyone who preloaded the game and  automatically download for new players starting tomorrow.  you enjoy fast-paced racing, competitive battles, or collecting Kirby themed content, this update delivers something for everyone.

Online Mode Arrives in Kirby Air Riders

One of the biggest additions in Version 1.1.1 is the long-awaited online multiplayer mode. Players can  jump into online races and battles directly from the “Connected Play” menu or from within each individual mode. This update expands Kirby Air Riders beyond local play, setting fans race and compete with players across the world.

To help track online achievements, a new “Online” section has been added to the Clear Checker, allowing players to unlock new in-game goals linked specifically to online activities.

Local and LAN Play Upgrade

For players who enjoy multiplayer at home or during gatherings, local and LAN play are now officially supported. By selecting “Connected Play” and then “Nearby Play,” friends can easily connect multiple systems without relying on an internet connection.

New Competitive Formats

Version 1.1.1 introduces fresh gameplay options to keep races exciting:

Transfer Relay in Air Ride

A completely new racing format called Transfer Relay has been added to the Air Ride mode. This new style encourages teamwork and strategic switching during races, offering a fun twist on the classic experience.

Team Battle in City Trial

For City Trial fans, the new Team Battle mode lets players join forces and compete together. This expands the variety of challenges available, giving groups more reasons to return to the game.

Replay Enhancements and Video Exporting

Players who love saving and sharing their best races will appreciate the enhanced Replay features. The update now allows you to convert replays into video files by selecting “Record” in the Replay settings. This feature requires a microSD Express card, ensuring videos save smoothly.

FP Training with Kirby amiibo

Fans who collect Kirby amiibo can now use them to train their FP (Figure Player). This feature can be accessed either through “Miscellaneous Play → amiibo” or directly from the machine and rider selection screens. This addition gives amiibo collectors a fun way to build stronger FP partners.

Daily Events and Limited-Time Challenges

The update adds two new rotating features:

Daily Air Ride

Limited Time Events

Both can be found on the main menu under “Daily” and “Events.” These timed challenges introduce fresh goals each day and during special event periods, giving players new reasons to return regularly.

Enhanced Privacy for “My Machine”

Players can now mark their custom “My Machine” setups as Private. Private Machines won’t appear online and won’t be visible to other players. You can adjust this for all machines at once or individually from the customization menu.

Online Stability and Bug Fixes

The update also includes numerous performance upgrades and bug fixes:

Restrictions have been add to prevent unstable connections from hosting races.

Faster and more consistent matchmaking.

Fixes for Paddock issues, freezing problems, City Trial and Quick Race bugs, and FP-related errors.

Resolved rare Road Trip freezes.

Clear Checker tasks now complete properly.

These improvements help ensure smooth online play and better overall stability across all modes.

With all these additions, Kirby Air Riders now offers a deeper, more polish, and more connected experience. Whether playing solo or online, there’s never been a better time to jump in it.
